Squire Grant papers, 1791-1796.

This collection consists of a 1796 letter and a 1791 receipt once belonging to Squire Grant. The letter, dated August 17, 1796, is written by Andrew Jackson, Nashville, to Squire Grant, Kentucky, and discusses a bill of injunction filed by Elijah Robertson against Grant and Laurence Sproutzman. The other document, dated Frankfort, August 26, 1791, appears to be a receipt from Robert Hatton to Lieutenant Squire Grant for delivery of 96 lbs. of pork given to Indian prisoners.
